About the Green Frog:
This small frog is about 2 to 4 inches long. The male's throat is yellow while the female's is white. It is nocturnal and breeds from March to August. "Rana claitans" means "noisy frog", as "rana" is Latin for frog and "clamitans" is Latin for noisy.
