1. About brain coral (Lobophyllia):

These corals are named for their resemblance to the human brain. Their life span is about 200 years. They are nocturnal.

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Cnidaria (simple animals including sea anemones, jellyfish, and corals, among others)
Class: Anthozoa (includes sea anemones and corals)
Subclass: Hexacorallia
Order: Scleractinia (stony corals, they generate a hard skeleton)
Suborder: Faviina
Family: Faviidae
Genus: Lobophyllia

2. About boulder star coral (Montastraea annularis):

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Cnidaria (simple animals including sea anemones, jellyfish, and corals, among others)
Class: Anthozoa (includes sea anemones and corals)
Subclass: Hexacorallia
Order: Scleractinia (stony corals, they generate a hard skeleton)
Suborder: Faviina

Species: Montastraea annularis
