Bug and Insect Illustration (Illustrator): Dragonfly Nymph Illustration, Wing Pad Detail:

Dragonfly Larva, Labeled

Dragonfly Nymph, Labeled, pencil and Fireworks
Commissioned by: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources

Special thanks to Wayne Deptuck for relaying the following:

"With incomplete metamorphosis there is no larva or pupa, but rather the nymph stage. The wing pads are on the back, whether it be a mayfly, damselfly, or in this case dragonfly nymph. Larva will not have any wing pads at all, like with beetles and flies."
